Dogs faces various health issues in their lifespan. Some of them are common diseases, whereas others are chronic and serious, especially in small Toy Pomeranian dogs.

Collapsed Trachea

Collapsed trachea is very common among small-size dogs. It is the abnormality in the cartilage bone of the trachea which collapses with each other and makes life difficult for them.

There’s no other evidence by which we can say they live this much after being affected by this. The lifespan of a dog depends upon the seriousness of the disease. Hence, this is a manageable condition, so your dog can live an everyday life if this disease is diagnosed on time.

The major cause by which a collapsed trachea develops is the narrowing of the airway. When the cartilage bone of the trachea becomes thin it collapses with each other in easy words, tie not with each other and makes the space narrow. This narrowed space stops the passing of air and results in difficulty in breathing.

Patella Luxation

Patella Luxation is an ectopic disease which harms the bones of the dog. Small dogs easily get affected by this because of their size.

A lot of exercise and more than their capability to work always causes harm. It causes various deformities in femur, tibia, hind limb and hip joint. This condition results in joint displacement and unbearable pain. This condition can become severe if not treated well.

The level of severity is divided into four categories.

Level 1: The medical emergency is less. Unable to detect the problem without the medical test.

Level 2: at this stage, patella luxation results in lameness hence a dog is unable to stand properly. If they do so, they would experience a lot of pain and difficulties. The joint was repositioned after extension.

Level 3: the dislocated patella comes out instead of being in an appropriate structure of the body.

Level 4: Lameness is a serious condition. You have to take care of your pet at this stage more.

Reverse Sneezing

Reverse sneezing is also named as Paroxysmal Respiration. It is another common disease in toy Pomeranian. In this condition, a dog breathed in a lot of oxygen and didn’t exhale it.
